The English word meditation is derived from the Latin word meditatio meaning to concentrate, focus, and think of a specific focal point. Meditation is to feel the inner soul and is always devoid of any external attachment. The Meditation may however involve external objects like prayer beads to count prayers and candle flames to focus.Meditation is an essential part of Ayurveda and the mode of practice may differ from context to contexts. There are numerous ways of practicing meditation but the ultimate aim is to achieve the realization of self.
Meditations are practiced all over the world for assorted reasons and according to the recent survey around 100 million people rely on meditation to live healthy lifestyles. In India Meditation is mainly a gift of religions, spiritual leaders, saints, monks, and Ayurvedic.Religion or Science has clearly laid down the good effects of meditation over mind, brain, and soul. The summation of good impact of meditation over health is linked to changes in metabolism, blood pressure, brain activation, and other bodily processes. Medical science uses the tool of Meditation as a method of stress and pain reduction.
The mechanism that works in favor of meditation is yet unexplainable after 60 years of research and studies. But anyone who has explored meditation knows that it is purely a passageway that leads to a new, more liberal way of seeing the world around us.
