Arm Circle Yoga

This is the seventh sequence of yoga practices and is a simple physical warm up. Arm circles yoga focalizes on the entire shoulder girdle and is a highly beneficial warm up training of the body before any weight resistance or weight training involving the shoulders.
Sequence Practice of Arm Circle Yoga
- Stand erect with the arms resting at the sides
- Lift both arms out to the side and parallel to the floor
- Palms must face downwards
- Keep the shoulders relaxed
- Circle the arms with small movements
- Increase the size of the circles until they are as big as possible
- Maintaining the movement slowly change the direction
- Slowly decrease the size of the circles
- Return to the normal position and lower your arms
Advantages of Arm Circle Yoga
- One can perform this exercise anywhere, anytime
- Good for warm up before any physical training
- Improve the shoulder joint mobility
- Increase the blood flow to the joint
- Relax your shoulders and upper backs
- Good for rejuvenating upper half of the body especially the shoulders and arms
Limitation of Arm Circle Yoga
This exercise is an anytime and anywhere physical training devoid of major twist and turns of the body. This can be used as an effective warm up before any yoga practices and doesn’t have major restrictions and can be practiced by people from all age group.

The arm circle yoga must be performed under the supervision of expert yoga consultant.
